SCOTTISH RITE WOMAN’S CLUB
by: Janet Kraft, President

As we begin a new year, let us join together for an afternoon of fun and fellowship. Those of you who have not been able to attend, we hope to see you at our next meeting at Noon on Friday, March 26th at Patrick's Restaurant. On this day, our Bylaws Chairman, Mickey Buterbaugh, will present several changes to our bylaws for your consideration. Our other meetings will be in June and September. The September meeting will be held at the Scottish Rite on a Wednesday evening, so those who work can attend. Please try to join us, as we continue our work for the children at The Hilgenberg Center for Childhood Language Disorders.
At our January meeting, the following officers were installed:
President - Janet Kraft
Secretary - Ruth Hobine
Treasurer - Sharon Johnston
Our Vice President, Leah Wilhelmsen, was off traveling and will be installed at the March meeting. If you know of someone who is ill, or just needs a little pick-me-up, please call our Sunshine Chairman, Carole Yingling, at 410-795-1939.
In closing, we would like to give, "Just a little thanks for your giant blessing" to Dr. Wilhelmsen. Thanks to you and Leah for the memories. |

MEREDITH CHAPTER OF ROSE CROIX
by: Hon. Howard S. Maxwell, 32°, KCCH - Wise Master
Brethren, it is a privilege and honor to serve as Wise Master of the Meredith Chapter of Rose Croix. This should be another banner year for Scottish Rite in our Valley of Baltimore. We look forward to welcoming our Spring Class of 2010. One of the joys of life is in imparting knowledge to the new generation by making them wiser and better as men and Masons.
Thursday, April 1st will be our Maundy Thursday celebration; dinner will be served at 7PM and you must call for reservations. This is an open ceremony and family and friends are welcome.
If you haven’t visited the Scottish Rite in awhile, you owe it to yourself to do so. Ill. Marlin Mills, 33°, our new Deputy of The Supreme Council in Maryland, needs your support. Get involved and become part of this great Masonic organization.

MAUNDY THURSDAY & FEAST OF TISHRI
by: Ill. E. Ray Leppo, Jr., 33°, Personal Representative
On April 1, 2010, the Scottish Rite will be having our annual Maundy Thursday Open Ceremonies, beginning with the Mystic Banquet at 7:00 PM, followed with the ceremony of Extinguishing the Lights. We will also have a guest speaker that evening, the Ill. Richard E. Fletcher, 33°, PGM.
October 13, 2010 is our Feast of Tishri at 7:00 PM. No feast day in the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry has ever had or will ever have greater significance than the Feast of Tishri. It is the symbolic cornerstone of our Rite. It forms the central theme of most of our degrees. To understand the Feast of Tishri and its symbolic significance to the Scottish Rite, past and present, is to touch the deep meaning, “The very heart and soul of our Fraternity.”
All Masons and their families are invited to both of these events. The cost of the meal for each event is only $15.00 per person. Please call the Scottish Rite Office at 410-243-3200 for reservations.
