Regalia

Many new Scottish Rite members often ask what the different colored hats worn by Scottish Rite members mean.  The caps can be thought of as the dress of a Scottish Rite Mason, just like an apron is to the Master Mason in the Blue Lodge.  A 32° Scottish Rite Mason wears the black silk cap.
